Emiliano Villa is a multidisciplinary artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their work is focused on the intersections of identity, fashion, and pop culture. You can read their writing here.

They began working as an audio journalist at 16 with YR Media and have covered local issues, queer culture and youth voice. Emiliano has been featured on NPR and has bylines in San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times. Emiliano began working at KQED in 2021 as their Youth Media Specialist, co-producing the annual Youth Takeover event which broadcasted 70+ stories over a week in 2023.

Emiliano Villa also performs as Poison Oakland and co-produces nightlife events with BIMBOS, an inclusive collective of queer and trans DJs and performers.
